Barrie started his career as a chartered production engineer, moving into sales and marketing with companies such as NCR where he introduced new ways of education and communication for sales and management teams. His communications skills eventually led to a stint as a performer but he was soon staging and managing productions in the UK, Europe, North America, the Far East, Australia and New Zealand. In the early 80s he moved into the world of television working for the BBC in design and programme resource planning and then as a department head. He is co-founder of IPH, a well-respected media management and consultancy company, dealing with hundreds of projects over a 20 year period. Barrie is equally at home project managing as he is working alongside teams presenting, developing and communicating concepts. He has extensive experience as a project director, designer and consultant.
